Ernie has been appointed Chair of the Ohio Real Estate Appraiser Board, after serving as a board member and as Vice Chair. The Board oversees Ohio’s appraiser registration, licensure, and certification program and administers enforcement and education requirements when needed. He holds the prestigious CRE designation from The Counselors of Real Estate and the SRA and AI-RRSdesignations from the Appraisal Institute. Durbin has contributed to various special projects, including the Appraiser Development Initiative (ADI). He received the 2018 Valuation Visionary award from the Collateral Risk Network (CRN)and serves on the Real Property Valuation Committee for the National Association of Realtors. In his private practice, Durbin focuses on complex residential valuation challenges. He is married to Velina and has four children.
